Customer Reviews:
"I love Yahtzee and I always have. I love to include my children in things, but sometimes it can be difficult to drag them away from their computer screens! With Yahtzee on the computer, we find something we can all agree on. Yahtzee night has become a regular thing at my house!" by Don
"For whatever reason, I was never interested in this game when it was just a cup and some dice. When it came out for computer, I decided to give it a spin. Now I'm hooked!" by Julie
Hints and Tips:
If you find yourself having to cross off certain hands, make sure you scratch off the least likely ones first. For example, crossing off YAHTZEE first is usually a good move, because chances are you wouldn't hit it again!
Yahtzee Trivia:
- The game was first patented on April 19, 1956 by a man named E.S. Lowe. His original title for the game was "Poker Dice Game." The game was originally invented by a Canadian couple who called it the Yacht Game, as they would get together with a few friends on their yacht to play. They then asked Lowe, a famous toy and game entrepreneur, to make up some sets that they could give to their friends. Lowe saw potential in the game, and acquired the rights from the couple in exchange for 1,000 gift sets. Now a bad deal when you think about it, isn't it?
