Game Play Strategy:
Like any good strategy, the plan that leads to victory in RISK is relatively simple. You just need to understand a few important principles:
Concentrate your forces to attack with strong armies. The best way to attack is to stack as many soldiers as possible into a single space and then roll onward. Take a territory, move into it with everything you can, and start a new invasion from that space. Keep doing that until you've achieved your objective or run out of steam.
Hold continents. That's a pretty obvious bit of advice, and it's easier said than done. The bonus armies you gain for holding a continent are well worth the trouble. The thing to remember is that if you take control of a continent, other players are going to try breaking up your control to prevent you from getting the bonus armies (and you're going to do the same thing to them!). Because of that, it's not worth taking a continent if you can't hold it.
